Look who came to join my Sasha family - Sabina is a Shelly Repaint and I saw her on Shelly's blog on Sunday evening and was entranced by her. I've admired Shelly's work for a long time so am thrilled to have this unique and exquisite girl for my very own.
She hopped over the Irish Sea very quickly, arriving yesterday, much to my delight. So today I had the fun of a wig trying on session:
Wow Mikki what a lovely Easter arrival!
ReplyDeleteLove all the wigs you had ready and waiting, they all give her a different look.
Great name also
Thanks Dee, Shelly named her and I liked it so she'll be keeping it. I'm lucky to have a good wig stash as I have a family of BJDs here also :-) Happy Easter
ReplyDeleteShe is a very pretty girl. I am sure you are going to have lots of fun with her! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteThank you! She will be great fun I'm sure. Happy Easter to you too
DeleteLovely girl Mikki, gosh a great selection of wigs as well...not sue which I like best, but I do like the black in the first photos.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Easter
Thanks Lorraine, I actually have even more would you believe, but the current wearers refused to lend them :-) That black one really goes well with her eyes, doesn't it. Hope you have a lovely Easter too
DeleteI just love it when I finally locate the Sasha Collector who has bought the doll/s that I was taken too but couldn't afford at the time so 'Congratulations and jubilations' on having this very dramatic eyed beauty customised by Shelly doll come to live with you.
ReplyDeleteI'm always thrilled with the dolls who due to falling or badly cut hair require to have to wear the wigs as it's exciting to see their characters change with the different styles and colours. My personal favourite here I think has to be no2 in photo no3, followed by no3, then no6, no1, next no5 and lastly no4.
Sasha love from Kendal.
Thank you so much Kendal. I'm so thrilled with this girl and I think she will be a lot of fun. Shelly's eye painting is wonderful and very true to the Sasha style. Wig No 2 was one of my best buys - it always seems to look good and all my BJD girls fight over it - so now they have even more competition for it. I think No 6 looks better in real life than it does in the photo. Nobody has ever worn No 4 for more than two minutes! I think it might be going in the sale box, unless I keep it for dressing a choir boy one day :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Mikki,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new arrival she is beautiful. I'm really finding it hard to resist the older Sasha girls and stick with just the babies when I see all the beautiful girls I see on all the different blogs!! The no 1, 2 and 6 wigs are my favourites but she looks soooo different with each of them.
Happy Easter and enjoy Sabina (love the name also),
Love,
Susan xx
Hi Susan, She was a pure impulse buy, I'd had no intention of adding another to my family but as soon as I saw her I was smitten. I definately think your babies need an older sister :-) Happy Easter to you too xxx
DeleteCongratulations on your gorgeous new girl Sabina, I am a big fan of Shelly's work, interesting to read that she was an impulse buy, sometimes these dolls speak so loudly to us, we just can't ignore them! Its lovely to see her in all the different wigs, it gives her such a different look, I do like the black wig that she arrived in but also really like her in 2, 5 and 6 ... Enjoy the rest of the Easter holiday, Cathy x
